I just tested my new 62/14 htb2 today, and I am a bit puzzled as to why the engine seems noisier and why the valve knock is pronounced on acceleration. Truck seems a lot stronger, and the whistle is very awesome! It is a bit louder than I wanted, but I'm sure it will grow on me. I have no idea what kind of power I am making now, but I also installed a FASS 150/150 a few days ago. Haviing trouble with the fuel return manifold hose connections leaking... anyway any ideas? EGTs dropped from 1523 on extreme on my tripledog down to 1260! YAy!

Valve knock? maybe it's combustion knock, and if you have less smoke, it's burning stronger, so it will be noisier. Fuel pressure also affects knock.

Can someone define " combustion" or fuel knock as some call it? Mine is almost irritating since I had injectors done, get rid of one noise, picked up another! #@$%!

I don't really think anyone has answered my original question. Why is this hapening more often on TDR? I am thinking maybe it is getting to be time to go to another site.
