I am having a hard time finding 10w/30 Delo or Rotella engine oil in the Denver Colorado area. Anyone else seeing a shortage? Also, what would be a suitable viscosity replacement?

Thanks

It’s all over the country. I tried to order an employee some Motorcraft diesel oil Monday and the distributor said he didn’t have any, it had been on back order since December with no ETA.

I just bought four gallons Delvac from a distributor Expand your search to the suppliers in your area not Napa Walmart etc. they have no oil I found out myself or call Amsoil maybe

Should be warm enough for 15w-40, guessing the 10w-30 is for the colder areas. I ran conventional 15w-40 in my 96.

I saw some 5 gal on line of the Mobil 15w-40, but only if you select qty 1.

Good luck on the search.

I suggest you send a sample of your oil in for analysis. If it comes back within spec replace the filter and keep drivinng. I had my last sample done at 32,719 miles. I plan on the next sample at 45,000. My filter of choice is a Fleetguard LF9028 but I think Donaldson makes a comparable filter.

Not just oil in short supply... everything is. I ordered a grapple for my JD yesterday and they are saying 5 months. Also JD third function hydraulic kit is backorderd with no ETA.... Lumber is higher than it ever has been... Just ridiculous, I am postponing my addition again due to record material costs.

The shop I use has a contract with a Chevron distributor in San Diego. He normally gets drums. Nada. He's asking customers to bring their own in if they can get it. What a difference 18 months made.

Thanks for all the input. Update. Found a large NAPA warehouse in E. Denver that received a shipment of Rotella yesterday that was on back order since December. They were already almost out! I will also be starting my oil analysis with this first oil change. I have several updates to report on this truck, but will post in a different thread. BTW it took 4 months to get a Steed Speed manifold!
