I bought this truck from an owner of a truck repair shop in 1996. It has a Racor fuel/water separator on it that he installed. It is model 445. It uses a R45T fuel filter that seems on the small side

compared to other fuel filter setups I have seen and owned on other diesel pickups. Does anyone know if this filter has enough flow if I decide to BOMB this baby. Is anyone using this filter setup?

Thanks,Keith

The Racor is a good quality filter product. You should not have any problems "flow rates".

You DO need to make sure that, like any filter, you don't let it get all jammed up and plugged up so bad that it can't flow.

The smaller the micron rating for the filter eg: 2 micron, 5 micron, 10 micron the quicker it will plug.

Normally the 10 micron is fine enough that you should not have any problem with particulate damage due to insufficient filtering.
