Back to the matter at hand, I did get about a pint of oil and many little pieces of compressor wheel out of my intercooler, now all need is my new turbo to get here and im good to go

Is your intake elbow and intake manifold clean? I would check to be sure the intercooler caught it all if it were me.

there was some light oil film on the out ward side of the cooler but that was it.

While im at it I decided to upgrade my exhaust manifold to a sdeed speed one

I see a 4" diamond eye! How'd the install go? Did you have enough room or did you have to fight it?

Don't forget to check the air filter for debris. I have seen shrapnel in there many times when a turbo blows up.

That is not a diamond eye exhaust its 100% home made. Thanks for the heads up I never thought about the air filter.

After waiting for a week I finally got my super 40 turbo in and got every thing put on the truck, a friend of mine changed the mounting flange on my old 3rd gen exhaust break so it mounts directly to the super 40 instead of the HE351 it was meant for. The weird combination of parts im running did require the making of a custom down pipe to make every thing fit, but even so the pipe is still real close to the fire wall and heater box so I wrapped it with header heat tape.

It's great I love it, real good boost numbers, EGT's stay in check very little turbo lag.

For some numbers, foot all the way down in 4th gear, 38psi of boost and 1100 on the egts with more power to go but no more road
