Sorry it took so long to answer. First thing is I do like it. The temperature guage still does not read when it is started. But the cab is toasty warm. On cold days there is enough heat in the engine bay to indirectly warm the manifold. I can tell this by the amount of time the wait to start light goes out. 5 seconds instead of a minute. On the raod the engine is warm in about a mile ( reading on the guage) instead of around three or four miles. It totally beats out the block heater. No cords etc. to remember to plug in and unplug (the whole point is to minimize the amount of cold weather labor). It may pull the battery down slightly but it seems to be more than offset by the easier cranking. The timer can be preset to start at a certain time on any particular day. It will run for up to 120 minutes which is also adjustable. To put the fuel supply tube in I dropped out the fuel tank. At the same time I was installing a 50 gallon replacement tank from AERO tanks ( I cannot reccomend them, the attention to detail was not there). I used the same float/sender/fuel sock assembly. A part that replaced the stock "tank pump out connection" was supplied. It added the fuel tube for the heater and retained the pump out connection. It has several good features. The controls will kick out if there is a voltage problem. When fuel is below 1/4 tank it will loose suction and stop. It will reprime itself when you refill and restart the heater. The price may be steep but it is a very well thought out product for our application. Many thins you buy can be "made to fit", this actually fits. As an example- the fuel tube to the lift pump would interfere. A new fuel tube banjo fitting was included to move the suction line out of the way. The bracket puts the heater in a spot that you think nothing can go there but it does with room to spare. As far as cost/benefit? How resistannt or annoyed by cold are you. How often do you scrape ice off windows? How willing are you to spend possibly a weekend under the truck? But at least you know that you get what you pay for. This is NOT junk.
BTW- This was one of the things I thought was most worth it. ( notheast winter). Related string from the board when there was interest last fall- also some installation tips (from me) https://www.turbodieselregister.com/ubb/Forum3/HTML/000139.html
