Well, I'm back. I know this is a re-run of my post with the old truck, but I think it's worth re-stating.

For those of you who don't want to worry about gauges (EGT fretting) and transmission modifications (clutch slipping or TC problems), but you want a little more zip for minimal money... ... ... ... ... here's my $0. 02.

The 275s and PS module can be had for well under $500 and you get an honest 40 hp, maybe a little more. (Couldn't dyno this weekend).
No EGT increase, no transmission heartburn, no loss of cruise control, no loss of fuel economy (if you keep your foot out of it). And you can add a fueling/timing box later if you want.

There, I'm done. You can pack it to the bank. #ad

PS Thank you Rob Hanson and NW crew for the help. I'm still a-grinnin' !!!

Papa Joe... glad you are a happy camper! Come over some time and spend the night here... we have good BS sessions when we go inside and sit down.

Papa Joe
that is the exact configuration I was running before the Puck... I loved it and I could waste a powerstroke with it. Have fun and BOMB ON!

papa joe , you should have swung by DTT before the ride home , you could have had a VA also , for a cnote plus less than the other guys (and i believe that's the everyday price) #ad

Papa Joe,

Glad to hear your news. Excuse my ignorance... . but what's a PS module? In the NW, where's the best place to have the 275's installed? Thanks, -Ken

it is very easy to do, just takes a little effort. If you want I can come up and give you a hand, just buy the beer and say when #ad

NW Bombers alert... ... . Injector install.

Papa Joe,

How about an EZ? Gives you timing and adjustability of when you want fueling to start.

Twist my arm, I'll let you try mine.

i tried to get papa joe to try mine all day at bd he kept saying no thanks. i don't think you have the same map sensor plug as papa joe.

papa joe
an ez will do the trick and it even comes with a built in boost module so you could pedal yours. the ez is the same price as the va.

Jim,

I think you are right. However when Edge sent me the EZ they included what appears to be an adaptor, it has triangle Female plugin on one end and 3 round male ends, all in a line, on the other end. Is this an adaptor to allow the EZ to be used on the 00-01s?

big bob

that sounds like the right adapter. on the 01's the map sensor is a flat 3 connecter.

PS Boost module = Practical Solutions Boost Module. PS boost module is very reasonable in cost $136. 00 delivered with boost elbow and works very well.

Hope this helps.

Thank you all for the comments. The "spirit" of the day caught up with me. Watching Piers dust off the Chevelle, BOMBvoying along the interstate, and itchy plastic in my wallet was pretty intoxicating #ad

Now that the dust has settled, I'm pretty content for the moment. My trip was 910 miles and 45. 2 gallons of diesel. At 20. 1 mpg, I'm happy. On the other hand, on ramps are a hoot with the throttle on the floor #ad

PS On the 'other' other hand I'll probably get a box soon... ... ... ... ... .
