Laying concrete crossties with pandrol clips, under cutter, ballast regulator, tamping machine and more. NSRR does this all the time but better.

I've seen a train replace its ties but never lay the whole track. Pretty cool.

So why is China going to build our high speed train???

The UP does it also, they call it a TRT "Track Renewal Train". Whats really cool is Herzog's GPS ballast trains. They dump ballast at 20 mph, all the ballast car doors open and close from a computer on board. They snap shut at every road crossing then reopen. We dumped 8,000 ton of ballast in an hour and a half, took 20 miles to dump it all.
