EVS Shock Sensor

Howdy - I searched the archives but couldn't find this problem... Has anyone ever gotten the EVS II shock sensor to work properly? The instructions suggest mounting it to the ignition harness, and that wasn't sensitive enough. So I mounted it to the dash bracket, and that wasn't sensitive enough either. Any suggestions? If I tap the sensor while its armed, it DOES set off the alarm, so I am just thinking I need to put it in a different place? Where are you guys mounting it?

From my past days as a Car Stereo/Alarm installer, I have had the best luck mounting the shock sensors to the steering column. We used to tie wrap the shock sensor box to the column and they alwayes seemed to work pretty well.
