Yoa! Recently my Dodge Ram--1997, Auto, 127,000 miles--has been doing some peculiar things. To start with, the only recent modifications have been an addition of a BD pressurelok to the transmission. In addition I received a notice from the Dodge people indicating my throttle linkage might be defective, causing a possible stuck throttle. The Dodge people fix/modified it for free. Lately I have noticed when I step on the diesel it takes considerably more force to push the pedal down with a considerable loss of acceleration. If I force the pedal to the floor my acceleration improves moderately but doesn't come close to what it was previous to the malfunction. Once I hit overdrive, the pressure on the throttle instantly releases, you can feel it, and power and proper functioning returns to normal. When you slow down, you go through the same ritual again with very sluggish acceleration. There is no noticeable smoke or other obvious signs of mechanical problems. EGT/boost are within normal parameters. Does anybody have any suggestions concerning this problem? Thanks
