Exhaust ideas

I am looking for ideas for exhaust. I am warranty for awhile so Delete is not an option for me. Are any of the filter back exhaust worth the money? I would like some more sound out of my truck. I dont want to throw money away on Filter back exhaust for just an exhaust tip. I looked on Geno's Garage and they show an MBRP filter back. Is there any performance or mileage gains?

My Son put on a 5" pipe from the filter over the axle to the end. It does sound throatier. My concern is how close he is now to the air tubing for the rear air ride.

That is exactly what I asked him! "WHY"

I did convince him not to mess with the air intake or engine programming.

He did change out the painted bumpers for the heavy duty steel ones since he has had at least 5 people pull out in front of him over the last 10 years, all no fault of his.

Op you will see NO performance or mileage increases.

The sound alone has to be good for at least 10hp. You can get equal gains by getting one of those 24" Cummins stickers for the back window. Or add both for 20hp. No hate, just having fun.

The bike feels abandoned since the Mega Cab arrived. On top of that the weather has been lousy. I want to get on the Harley, maybe later this week, rain forecasted through Thursday and I am at Fire station tomorrow

The sound of the 4th gens is quite muted compared to previous gens. If i'm not moving too fast, i occasionally roll down the window to hear the Cummins.

Quick question, where did he get the running boards? Been looking at options that have a third step into the bed so my shorter family members quit leaning against the bed to drag out their sports equipment!

I just bought a used 2014 Ram 3500 see below. And I love that it is so quiet. I had a 1999 Ram Sport 5.9L 4" exhaust a 2001 Ram 5.9L 4" exhaust and a 2006 Ram 5.9L 4" exhaust. My Harley has true duals and rush mufflers and I like that sound on my bike, but I'm tired of my truck being load, so Im not touching my exhaust. Every time I drive my new truck I think to myself I love the quietness of this truck and the boss dose too.

Cummins roar is cool, but i dont get tired of my 04.5's quietness. i can talk to myself with-out raising my voice!

My old truck was a beat up 98.5................

If a ride sounds mean, it has a was of changing how its driven...... might save fuel by NOT moding exhaust!

I finally broke down and traded my 2001 2500 Quad Cab on a 2016 2500 MegaCab. I absolutely love it!

Sooo.....How well do those factory steps handle a big guy...230ish if he were to stand on them, back by the rear tire.....? That looks pretty long with no support bracket.

My Son uses his all the time with no complaints, he is 200#.

I weigh 225 and mine on my 2016 2500 MegaCab work fine. You can feel them flex slightly but floor in the old house flexed some too and we never ended up in the crawl space.
