Finally i have the exhaust i always wanted and it performs like no other i've had on the truck. I installed a 51" Donaldson muffler attached to the factory pipe, a four inch elbow with a 5 to 4 reducer welded to the other side of the elbow. From there up it is all five inch into the bed with a five inch chrome stack. It sounds like stock at idle with a growing grunt as the throttle goes down. I wanted something quite since i carry my wife and three kids on three day trips all summer long. I chose the stack because i love the rig look. It took me a long to start this project because it is a pain do to the bed cover which had to be moved and cut to fit. Sorry for the long story i'm just excited. Here are some pics of the install:
PS Forgot the bet part; my old system was a single 5 inch cat back MBRP. My EGT at idle three days ago was hovering around 260. Now it is at 85 degrees. I lowered my EGTS by 200 degrees across the board. Totally awasome. Does anyone have an explanation for this?
