Once again I find myself a drift on uncharted waters.

My mechanic just called and said that I needed a new Exhaust Manifold and turbo gaskets. We've been having trouble with boost psi's - I guess this is the culprit.

What experiences have any of you had with either stock replacements or aftermarket ExM's?

I appreciate the help.

ATS

ATS has a 3 piece you need to assemble.

also i dont think it comes with the gaskets for the head ports. (must replace)

Its good quality but take your time to install it correctly.

my recomendations:

you need to put the ATS 3 piece together to match the ports and bolt holes of the original manifold. i put the two end pieces in the freezer while i took off the orig manifold and then heated the ATS center-ends to help fit the two COLD ends(they are a tight fit). On the bench i used a rubber mallet and matched it as best as possible to the original manifolds bolt alignment. When you install it to the head, torque it as even as possible. dont forget to drill/tap the temp probe hole before you reinstall the turbo.

this manifold is a good idea to help prevent head cracks! most big cummins motors have this style stock. good luck to you or your mechanic. :D
