Ok now that the Bombing Bug has bitten me to the Max... Here's the deal, I have installed gauges, BHAF, 16cm housing... the 16 housing seemed good on the lower end but I wanted to free up the backpressure by opening up the exhuast... So I got impatient and had the hairbrained idea of taking it to a muffler shop to have them cut the stock exhaust pre muffler and put a 45 deg bend out to a huge tailpipe in front of the rear pass. tire. It looks great but... THIS THING IS LOUD!!! But the turbo sounds cool. I was driving around with the passenger side window down through town and it's not bad when cruising around, but give it some go and RUMBLE RUMBLE - window breaking style! I don't want to get a noise ticket, but I'm considering putting a magnaflow muffler on it just infront of the new pipe. The dilemma is... do I try to patch this or should I just buy a whole new system?? (this is the stock 3") I'm sure I can get by with the straight pipe for a little while but I can have the muffler installed tomorrow morning. I know straight piping is cool, but maybe not cool with stock pipe, sounds a little to raspy to me. I'm willing to guess what the consensus will be but I'm open for all ideas. The other thing is I still have the stock setup and it can be restored just as easy. I can't tell the difference in power, but maybe because I'm too distracted by the BEAST I have released. EGT's are lower for sure.
