My 1954 Oshkosh Truck (with Cummins engine) has a single stack through the passenger side of the hood as factory equipment. I realize this isn't quite a pickup truck, but I would think the same laws would apply (about exhaust exiting behind the passenger compartment, etc)

And there probably aren't any seat belts either! 1954 was a long time ago and the laws today are different from then.
