I recently purchased an EZ from Con for my Y2k and what a difference in power. He gave me a unbelivable price for a new unit with the boost elbo. So far the trans is stock with the pressure turned up per DTT instructions. I will upgrade the trans later with a new TC and VB when more funds become available. But after putting the EZ on it seems to shift better than it did. I don't know how long it will last but it sure is fun. From other posts I have read the EGT should be lower that stock with the EZ installed. I am not using the boost elbo because I don't have the guages yet. I don't know if the MPG is better but I'll see next fillup.

Can someone comment on a good set of guages that are not to expensive.

Also Can someone comment on if a boost elbo will raise or lower the EGT's and will it cause me to blow a head gasket?

I usually don't drive it very hard but it is nice to know ithe power is there when you need it. :D

Install the boost elbow, it's worth up to a 200F reduction in your EGT's under load. You won't hurt anything by installing it. The boost elbow increases your boost from ~20psi to ~27psi. That extra boost gets more air in the engine and cools things down.

You are correct on the EGT's being lower with the EZ than stock. I can hit 1300 without the EZ and boost elbow hooked up. With the EZ hooked up but with the stock boost elbow I can get to 1150 on EGT. With the modified elbow in place I max out at about 950. Hope you enjoy your EZ as much as I have mine so far. But beware, you will want more down the road.

Turboman, go to www.enterpriseengine.com look on their products page for dodege ram products near the bottom are their exclusive gauges made by DiPricol. Dave Mitchell had DiPricol make these gauges for him and they are pretty much made for the Cummins engine. THey are white face with blue number and light up blue at night. They look sweet and aren't that expensive. The boost gauge is 0-60 or 0-100 psi. I just installed the Boost, EGT, and Fuel Pressure in mine with triple pillar mount. I love them!! I think I had roughly 340 in the whole set. Wasn't to bad to install either. PM me if you have any more quesions or would like to see pics.

Sounds like your step ahead of me with the EZ--I put the Westach gauges in mine--they are on web--called the factory and they sent them out within week (Turbo, Temp, Fuel pressure, and dual EGT (pre and post turbo)... ... Got book from John and read it real careful--then ordered..... easy to install--look at other posts on subject up today... ... . R, J. B. ;)

Isopro are a Good Way to Go

I got a compete package, boost 1-40 psi, preturbo color face exhaust guage and transmission temp with a prepaint color dash pod from Andy at -- email address removed -- they took excellent care of me and overseas so the package needed to be right the first time. Andy easy to work did all my ordering by e-mails. He also furnished my PE Comp.
