Some pics of the wheels with chrome and some with the black center caps for easy comparison

I REALLY like the black on black look. To me the chrome cap sticks out way too much since there is now so little of it on your truck.
Thanks! I’ve had the black on for some time now and I don’t think I’ll be using the chrome! The wheels and tires really make it look like I had intended. Black slash cut exhaust ordered fro XDP yesterday! Can’t wait to change it out!

I got the Banks black oblong slash cut exhaust tip from XDP today and installed it! Here’s some pics! I like the looks of it better than the sooty chrome one originally installed with the Monster Exhaust System. 1 more item checked off the list for the de- chrome operation! Working from the ground up....

Looking' GOOD!!!

Have you ever though of de-badging that truck??

I de-badged my 2005 and have never looked back!!!

It totally adds to the stealth look. Also love the fact that I am not necessarily advertising for FCA...LOL!!!

That’ll most likely be the next phase of the project, The wheels and tires set me back a little so the side steps will have to wait. I’m on the fence about de-badging and leaving a matte black with gloss white Cummins emblem or leaving all of the badging but just changing them all to matte black and white? Of course the money saved with the first option could be used towards the grille I’ve decided on? I really like the looks of the Raptor style grille with the 3 marker lights built into it! I’ve been trying to find one that has smoked lenses on the lights though because I have a smoked set of cab roof lights that I’ll be installing when the temps warm up enough for the adhesive to bond correctly/permanently. I got the wireless solar powered cab roof market lights from caboveramerica. I didn’t want to drill holes in the roof and run the risk of water leaking into the cab in the future.

I found what I thought was a set of these wheels on Craigslist and while they appear identical they had a different P/N 1QR35TRMAA. Seller said they came off a 2004 Dodge. When I enter the truck in my signature both this P/N and P/N 52013663AA show as "not compatible." Does anyone know the difference? I mounted the P/N 1QR35TRMAA wheel on my truck both front and rear and it clears the calipers. Any information would be appreciated.

The 1QR35TRMAA wheels are from 2010-2012. They have 6 spokes as opposed to 5. Cast aluminum I believe? Not forged and certainly not manufactured stateside. They both have virtually identical offset so fitment isn’t an issue and as far as I know 2500 and 3500 SRW came off the assembly line with the same options for wheels.

Could some wheels be hub centric and some lug centric? I admit I don't know which would have what, or even if dodge had both. Someone in the know will surely chime in. Other than that, if they fit, and they are what you are looking for, run them.

Yes, six spoke! I can't count! I do note that they had the AWFP stamp so does that mean they are forged . . . in China?

If they they have the AWFP then they are in fact forged aluminum manufactured by Alcoa wheel and forged products. As far as country of manufacture, there should be a stamping somewhere near the rest of the information stampings. For instance on the 5 spoke wheels that I have the USA stamp is just to the right of the Chrysler logo. Alcoa does manufacture wheels offshore as well as here and I believe the wheels they made for Chrysler moved to offshore manufacturing with the 4th gen trucks ie: 2010. With that being said, I would imagine that Alcoa surely monitors quality control of their offshore facilities far better than any aftermarket wheel company with no ties to the U.S.? Either way, you got a great set of factory wheels that are spec’d for our trucks made by arguably one of the best companies in the business! (IMO) anyway! Good luck with them!

I had a set of these on my 05 that went with it when I sold it. They were also painted black, and I really liked the look.

I don't know what they came off of, as I bought them used and there wasn't a Dodge at the guys house I bought them from.

For a while I also had a set of the 5 spoke alum wheels off of a 03 for a while. They were not as solid as the other set.

These wheels have a USA mark so maybe the six spoke version is also made in the USA. I think I'm leaning toward the 5 spoke mainly because that is correct for my year truck.

Why do you believe the six spoke were more solid than the five spoke?

Both sets were 5 spoke. I’m not ever sure I’ve ever noticed 6 spoke 3rd gen 17’s.

The one set had solid spokes and was heavier, while the 03 wheels were lighter and bad recesses in the back of the spokes.

Are these pics from the 6 spoke wheels? That’s interesting if they are, it was my understanding that Alcoa manufactured the wheels for Chrysler in the USA from 2005-2008/09 (3rd gen). The six spoke wheels weren’t available until 2010 (4th gen). Let me know because my information was gathered specific to the 5 spoke wheels, So it is possible the 6 spoke were in fact US made as well? I look forward to finding out for my own personal knowledge so that I can pass along CORRECT information to folks that have questions! My biased opinion would be to go with the 5 spoke! But of course the way our trucks look and perform is a matter of personal preference and (BUDGET)! If I won a million bucks I probably still wouldn’t have the best equipped, sharpest 3rd gen out there!
