I give up. This "upgraded" CD player absolutely REFUSES to play my CD-R and CD-RW's at any time. It skips, it jumps, it hisses, it moans, it whines (hey, sounds like work), all the time refusing to play more than 3 complete seconds of a tune.
Does anybody have any suggestions? I have tried different brands of CD-Rs ranging from excellent quality to not so good, tried older ones, freshly burned ones, jazz ones, rock ones, kid pop ones, all with no luck.
Is it that this CD player is reluctant to play these due to the difference in being able to pick up the information off the CD? This is the only CD player in my aresenal that won't play the CD-Rs. I've scientifically tried all the above categories of CDs and played them in the truck (no worky), car (OK), boat (OK), home theater DVD (OK), CD jukebox (OK), bedroom stereo (OK), and daughter's boom box (OK).
I might have to be forced to purchase another CD player or just a changer. Crap, that will cut into the injector money! Wait... no, the wife and kid will just not be able to listen to music. If they want to come, they'll bring their boom box. That's the ticket.
