I believe that the factory VES “vehicle entertainment system” is not working properly
It has been the same since the day I received it. I have never used one of these before and my manual for it has me thinking I am correct that it is defective. I have the NAV radio the truck is a new 07 with the 6. 7 engine. 99% of the time I am driving I have my 2 year old with me and the DVD player is a must or the ride is far from enjoyable. I realize this is under warranty but I really don’t want to deal with the hassle of bringing it to the dealership especially if there is nothing wrong with the VES unit. Here are my issues
When I hit stop it only pauses the DVD. When I hit power the rear screen turns off but the DVD still plays through the NAV radio. No matter what I do the only way I can get the system to stop is to remove the DVD and this is not an easy task while driving. Are others able to stop the disc and turn the power off on the unit. If it never turns off the system will more than likely prematurely fail with the discs playing all the time.
