Fall Brawl Thoughts and Memories

massdiesl has moved as of 11/01/04

I'm going still. Just got back from fishing in the bay. It's 9:45, but I'm still going. Don't know if I'll see you before I get to MIR, but I'm leaving Martinsburg at about 6:30 -6:45 AM.

Dennis (RattlinRam) and Chris Stamey are coming up from southern Va.

Might be some gassers and diesels there from DodgeTruckWorld.com too.

I should be there around 0930

Turnout

Turnout in general was the lowest I've seen at 4 of these events. MDTDR had Fest3r, Shovelhead, rattlinram, ob1kobi, huff n puff and myself. Hope I didn't miss any names. Hope tyhe spring event has a better turnout. I don't mean just MDTDR since it was just a low turnout for all trucks. :)

john,, sorry i wasn't there to give you a black cloud:eek: to follow down the track:D :D

6 mdtdr members showing isn't too bad:rolleyes: thats almost 1/3 of our membership for 03-04:--)

Sorry I wasn't there. Had to run to N Va, but as it turned out, I wouldn't have made it anyway. Got about 5 miles from home and the truck blew the rear brake line. I thought it best I take the truck back home. :D See you guys next time. I'll try and have it fixed by spring. ;)

Hey guys I had a blast,

1st round of eliminations Neal knocks me out,He dialed a 18. 05. Check his reaction time . 549 he ran an18. 178 at 71. 83mph. Me on the other hand dialed 12. 95 ran a 12. 85 and my reaction time was a . 498. not only did I red light I broke out. Congratulations Neal. Merv

Glad to see you out there Merv. :D

I really enjoyed see the reactions on some faces when a Dodge Diesel broke into the 12s. :-laf

(That 6 second run was interesting too. );)

6.35 ET

I forgot about that 6. 35 ET for the 1/4. For all you big smokers, make sure the wind is blowing towards the starting line, then light up the boost. By the time the smoke clears and thinks you just broke the beams, you're halfway down the track and you can pick up a 6+ second time slip at the finish line.

Simple.

:D :D :D :D

Did anybody get any information about the Chevy truck, with the Cummins motor that was running 10's? I looked around for him, but never found him.

Ted

Ted I did talk to him

He had it set up for tractor pulls,he was visiting friends in the area and just wanted to see how it would run on the strip. On his first run he turned a mid 12sec run and had to quit cause he blew a head gasket. Merv
