I'm fixin' to commence to begin to start to deal with the KDP. Being the perfectionist type, and not having the jig available, I am planning to do it the hard way. That's by pulling off the timing case cover. But the fan and fan clutch have to come off first. I've read references to a special tool needed for the fan clutch. Looking at it, I see a big nut. (The TSM is terse on this point, unfortunately. ) Is that what has to come off? Can it be removed using a really big combination wrench? (I have a set of those. ) If I have to buy a special socket or wrench, who has it and what's the cost?
