hah! I did the same stupid thing when i was changing out the VP44 banjo bolt today with a geno supplied connector. should have bled air out too.

I'd love a fast system, but a parts inventory just doesn't do it for me. I now you will like it. Wonder how hard spares are to find?

How do the connectors come apart?

How do the connectors come apart on the fuel tank line? I've never worked with these quick disconnects and I'm not too sure about pushing tabs while pulling line. Can anyone shed more light and provide a better description?

I appreciate the advice about lowering the tank and dropping the driveline. I'll check it out tommorrow.

Thanks again, Wiredawg

Keep trying. You just have to pinch the two "ears" on either side of the clip and lightly pull. Once you get the two sides of the clip pushed in, the fititng will com e off.

Just pull off the line, leave the clip on the tank fitting.

Just pull off the line, leave the clip on the tank fitting.

That is important to remeber, hence I typed it twice.

After I got the line off, I took the ears on the clip and folded tham all the way over towards the exit of the fuel line from teh tank, and then the clip cam off very easily.

Make it a 2 step process:

1) Remove line form the tank by depressing either side of the clip, leaving cip on the tank for now.

2) Flip the ears on the clip all the way over towards the tire and remove clip from the fuel pickup fitting.

Keep trying, and beer helps, too.

Thanks. That's exactly what I was looking for. I'll get a chance to apply it weekend after next. Had some problems come up on my 5th wheel.

PS: The project is a little bigger than just installing the FASS as I'm relocating the stock fuel filter and liftpump to inner frame rail in front of stock tank to operate with my aux tank. I'm replacing one of my FP gauges w/ dedicated fuel level gauge for aux tank. I also have taken a 1. 5"X4" galvanized and drilled/tapped it with 3/8" barb fittings and locating it in the fuel filler neck. This will allow me to transfer fuel from the aux tank and run the FASS return line lower than the vent tube so I can refuel w/ engine running. I will use a toggle switch connected in the cab to operate the lift pump to transfer fuel while monitoring stock and aftermarket fuel level gauges.

Just can't do exactly out of the box. :D

Thanks again Wiredawg
