Dyno Results/Info
Hello,
Many of you have been waiting for dyno results and here are some. In the mix of these dyno results is one for a Duramax, I included this one just for the fun of it. These dyno’s will also be on our website within the next couple of weeks. Here is some information that we have discovered concerning dyno’s. If we perform a dyno then install the FASS System and immediately re-dyno we will most likely see a very small increase if any and in some cases we have seen a loss of 1 horsepower (this was seen on a Ford Powerstroke where we actually gained 15hp and 27 ft. lbs. of torque after running it for about 200 miles, this is in the current PSR). Our belief is that while installing the FASS and having introduced a large volume of air into the fuel system it takes a couple hundred miles of driving to remove all the air.
The first dyno is of a Duramax, just to get it out of the way but just for your info. Bill performed the dyno without the FASS first thing in the morning (there was a dyno competition going on that day), we then installed the FASS and he drove the truck a couple hundred miles and then re-dynoed. The second one is of my 04. 5 Dodge, I already had the FASS on so my first dyno was with it on. I then disconnected the FASS and hooked up the stock configuration. I drove the truck about 200 miles and re-dynoed. The third one is a 98 24 Valve. One of the reasons for the large increase is that this truck was just running out of fuel. Matt now he has plenty of fuel pressure! He has reported to me his truck is more responsive and quieter.
The next dyno I hope to record will be a 12 Valve.
Thank you Bill Cook (owner of the Duramax) and Matt Cruise of Mustang Muscle in High Ridge, Missouri.
Brad
PS I could not get the dyno reports on the reply so I will try putting them on the following reply.
