Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) FASS & EGT / Verify EGT readings

Have had the FASS 150/150 on for a week now, sure seems like the EGT's are lower - coming back from lunch today, I ran through the gears and the EGT only peaked out at 1000 or so where I kind of expected to see 1200.



This is of course all unloaded...



Sure makes me suspect the probe/gauge though, any easy way to verify EGT readings?

lug them down, up goes the temps, drop a gear, push the rpm up (more fuel) things cool down. I can see a 100-200 temp drop (or rise) on the same hill. Sounds like your getting more psi of fuel whith that new pump, thus cooling things.
