Fass fiter before lift pump.

On my 04, I have a fass frame mounted lift pump and it has an inline filter prior to the pump. The filter is leaking and It looks that it's a fleetguard 55079 inline filter. I can order it from Geno's but is there something I can use in the interim. It appears that it's a regular inline filter for 3/8 fuel line. Can I use a regular fuel filter?

Whether you can use another filter will depend on its flow rate. If flow rate is to low and is restirctive it may hurt the FASS pump. IIRC, that inline prefilter is nothing more than a screen to keep the large chunks out.
