Was probably going to try and find the 6604 depending on availablility. Didn't expect it to be a problem as I have several truck resource shops around. Got a link for info on the heater that attaches to the filter?

I can't even remember where I found that heater at... maybe on Cummins Website... find a Fleetguard or Cummins dealer and have them get one in for you.

Try Long Island Performance Diesel @ 631. 285. 1174 ask for Jeremy. He has the HF6604s in stock as of last week... they are not going to be easy to find because supposedly they are out of stock until March 06.

Glickert What happens when u smash the pedal to the floor to pass someone? I have the same readings with my fass (17psi idle and 13 going down the road), but when I put the pedal to the floor readings will fall to 2-4 psi. If I let up on the pedal just a little psi will go right back up to about 10 or 11 psi. I have been told that I have to get rid of the stock fuel filter due to restricted flow. I am gettig my reading of the sharader valve on the vp. If u or anyone else could help that would be great. I am at a loss on what to do. I have made a few posts on the TDR site here and have got lots of good info. but nothing seems to be makeing the psi better

Fishell: I can't say for sure what's causing your fuel pressure problems but I do know that I am running the stock fuel filter and I see 15psi at all times. The only time I can get my gauge to move is really getting on it going up hill. Even then, I'm only bringing it down to 14psi or so. I do have bigger lines from tank to FASS and FASS to filter though.

i ran my FASS supplied line (3/8"?) straight to the VP. i did get a new banjo fitting that fit that size line to do it and used the same bolt after i drilled it out. it all fit real nice and looks clean. i was pretty proud of myself.

i have plenty of flow but don't know how much more mods i can do to over extend the larger bango fitting. i would like to go mach 4s eventually.

I am new to this forum thing. I installed the FASS 95/150 on our 2001 Ram 3500 6 spd. The only thing that I have a problem with is fuel consumption. Prior to the FASS our mileage was 20-21mpg. Now we get 19-19. 5 mpg. Have not tried any towing with it yet. We are on our third tank of fuel. Throttle response is better and the cruise control works better.

That's funny, I gained a slight bit of mileage...

I would not claim any milage increase from the installation of the FASS. But then it could be possible :-laf That would be a great marketing ploy. I think you will find that the decrease you are seeing is what most of us have seen on the overhead display after installing the FASS. Mine milage went down on the overhead display, But the hand calculations stayed ruffly the same ;)

I gained about 1 mpg with the Rockteck Sensor and a little more than that with the FASS. One of the biggest changes was that winterized fuel no longer causes me a drop in mpg... I get 20mpg whether it is winterized or not.

I am going to assume that you have the compleat FASS which includes a filter and water separator. In which case the factory filter/water separator not necessary. This would explain some of your PSI loss, but I would also suggest that you make sure that you are not sucking any air between the tank and the pump. Remember any thing less than 5. 5psi will kill your VP. My FASS came with enough 3/8" hose to run all the way from the FASS to the VP and a new AN style 90 for the VP. IF you do not have this setup it would proably be a good idea. Also I would recommend that you continue to pick up your PSI reading from as close to the VP as possible.
