I have a 2000 short bed, and installed a fass about 15000 miles ago, which has been working great. However, I ran into some trouble when I was off roading, I had driven diagonal over a big bump with a hole on the other side so it really twisted the cab and bed. Which sheared the return line, where the seam weld on the bed and the frame are right on top of each other. My return line got caught in the middle, it didn't shear it all the way, just enough to lose about 3/4 of a tank in the 15 miles to took to drive to home depot (thank god they are open late). So I repaired it with a 3/8 inline splice and a coulple hose clamps, which are now added to my emergency road kit!

You might want to get some diesel rated hose in there ASAP.

Hose rated for gasoline doesn't last long with diesel fuel - it turns brittle and cracks. Get some marine fuel hose with a US Coast Guard rating... it's more $ than regular hose, but well worth it.

Thanks Matt, do you know of a good place to buy marine fuel hose?? The hose that is on there is only about 6 months old and still feels pretty flexible. But I would like to replace it soon.
