What did I do?

Need some help

Thanks for plain talk analysis.

The GP on Dodge 5.9/6.7 raises the internal Pressure to 1XXPSI By design the air will be forced to exit the return circuit to tank..the fuel is separated by the COV X% is used to cool and lube the internals the rest is used for combustion fuel. The Ecodiesel Ford 6.7 used the CP4 W/O GP. this pump is completely subject to the lift PSI. The CP4 has much lower internal pressure so COV distribution pressure is much less , a fraction of air is possible .00x. The 5.9/6.7 Dodge/Ram Cummins By design are immune form air problems. Fass/Airdog I don't like Airdog its China origins disqualify it IMO. Both of their systems have designed flaws... they work for filtering fuel, They will Never stop contaminated fuel x% will bypass, your wallet will grow legs at this point and run away form the impending withdraw.

I have a stumble under load at the 4 & 5 pwr lvls w/Banks Ottomind. The first 10 years were fine, the one year it stumbled at #5 then next year was stumbling @ #4. I was hoping at this point, that it was entrained air in my fuel supply to CP4, now you 'burst that bubble'. LOL

I would use a modified stock module. It's got big enough lines for most power needs.

The shop I use drops a modified Liberty canister in there to suck up that last bit on the tank bottom.
If you're lucky enough to own a '03-'04 the installation is simpler.

i have the first gen Fass sytem on my Megacab,,the early red pumps, changed the filter nipple for better choice of filters, but i also plumbed it to the stock filter, for even better filtration, seems to work fine, but the truck is pretty stock fuel system wise, the only problem i ran into was ,,FASS used regular old cheap airhose with their kits, they deteriorate from the INSIDE,and sends tiny particles to the stock filter, hopefully i connected the stock filter in time to save damage.also my FASS was EXTREMELY LOUD,and these red pumps had lifetime warranty, but if you registered the warranty over the phone, they conveniently LOST your form,,so NO WARRANTY,,FASS warranty sucks by the way.and the customer servie person you finally DO get to talk to you, probably wont know much either, the only answers i got from them was always,"i don't know",i'll have to check on that" i've never heard of that before" or my personal favorite, "you're the first person to tell us that".in the end they wouldn't do anything for me,pretty much they ONLY wanted to sell me a new one.and told me i better not take it appart because it's a very intricate system,well..i took it appart with a machinist friend of mine,,he laughed when he saw the design of it,sadi a first year apprentist machining student could have made a better one,WHY they put the 2 filters within 1/8" of inch from one and another is a complete joke, and their motor is nothing more than a glorified starter motor,,dead simple to fix,so if you're considering a FASS,,do your home work, like someone on her suggested,if i had to do it again, i would get my own pump and set up myy own downstream filtration with better filters,oh,,and as to the noisy pump that FASS had no clue how to fix and wanted to sell me a new one,i found a way to cut down the noise by HALF,,Fass in their infinite wisdom, tells you to mount this whole pump and bracket assembly directly METAL TO METAL,in my case to the leaf spring hanger,a great frequency enhancer,,i simply put a spacer made from a 1/4 mudflap to isolate the metal bracket from the sring hanger and voila, hardly any noise now,i dont hear it screaming in the cab anymore,in the end,,chose wisely,do it once,do it right, sometimes you're just better off making your own, look online at all the very nice set ups guys have come up with.it's not like we are re-inventing the wheel.

Why will FASS / Airdog never stop contaminated fuel? By "contaminated" I'm assuming we are talking about greater than say 20% of the fuel is contaminated with water, solids, etc.? Feel free to adjust that percentage to match the conditions we are talking about.

Thanks for any help.
