Fast Idle

Does anybody here know if Edge Evolution CS2 will enable the fast idle. I thought it would, but I can't figure out how.

I have no input on this for you but my dealer wanted $105 to do that and refused to do the fog light one. Good luck.

Me either seems silly to have to turn it on

does it not work.? turn cruze on, then hit set... foot off the brake...
else no it's not enabled..
efi or a smarty will fix the issue.

No, it doesn't work. I watched a YouTube video on the Evo CS, and it showed "enable fast idle." I have the CS2, which I understand to a step up, but I don't find that in my menu. I'm disappointed that it I'll not enable it.

yes. some early 03s don't have the feature in the computer. but around mid year 03 when the steering wheel changed it's available.

So a March 2003 truck should have it? What are the steering wheel changes?

There is also a pin in the ECM wiring harness that needs to be connected to ground with a "pigtail" wire BEFORE the high idle feature can work even if it is already "enabled" by a programmer. The part# for that pigtail is Cummins #3164263. It needs to be connected to pin#22 in the ECM C2 plug. Then and only then will the enabled feature actually function. Here is a pic of the plug--
