i don't know about that. with my g56 i have been able to see about 115 mph. but i do have 285's on it. maybe that has something to do with it.

I took mine out today on the way down the road and did some WOT runs. :-laf It definitely noses over at 110 MPH :D. I guess I am usually not paying close attention to the speedo when I am running at that rate of speed and watching the road. :D

OK guys I just did another test and tune. If you trun the key to the start position before it defuels at 110 it will not hesitate at all it will be smooth.

I have not done any acceleration tests to find out whether its quicker pulling the fuses or turning the key. It feels like the fuse trick accelerates quicker but I could be just a fluke... It was a different time in a different place and I saw only 120mph vs 127 from pulling fuses...

I tried turning the key to the run position on mine, did nothing for me. A few lights on the dash blinked, but never went over 109. Maybe its an '06 thing

it will hit 110 and then go back to 108 MPH. He must have been close to the back door when he was at 110

the only thing that stopped wade from going any faster was his serious valve float noise @ 3400+ rpm, stock springs are not good for high rpm and boost... .....

I'm sure if it wasn't for the serious valve float or the stock springs, or the slipping transmission... . Wade would then have the most powerful, fastest common rail :-laf

wow who told you. i thought that was a secret. J/K

on a serious note, im sure that did keep him out of the 11's high 11's but none the less 11's

all my high MPH testing has been on auto trucks. Sorry. If u have 4. 10 gears and a G56 then its so low geared, maybe they figured it was worth the time to limit the MPH

we are talking about wades truck he has an auto with 4:10's.

mine is the g56. they never came with 4:10's that would be way to low geared.

ok this site's math looks accurate.

I put in my 295/70/17's. . 73 6th gear. and 3. 73. 3000rpm = 109.

I have seen 109 a few times on the ege thing. so I'm right. 3000rpm = 109 in my truck.

According this this, 127 at 3500rpm. so 125-ish at 3400.

scarry considering your tires are only rated at 106 mph R rated, any one ran faster?

Yep :)

That's why I'm considering a proper high speed upgrade process.

1. Replace these nitto's with 285 E's. reprogram ABS to match on stock rims. It's winter time, kinda... . :)

2. Purchase new and nice rims, aluminum rims, with a 33" equivalent street tire that's rated much higher speed wise. To fit on this new rims. I haven't a clue of what to get yet. Something sticky tho. :) It would be nice to hammer 3rd on a roll and not have any spin in 2wd.

3. And most important. UPGRADE THE BRAKE SYSTEM. Caliper, rotor and pad upgrade!!! These have to fit under the stock rims. I plan on keeping winter/summer setups.

4. Valve spring upgrade. Software that fixes this 108mph thing.

This plan makes most sense for safely doing over 108mph.

sounds good, all i have found in a 33 is the toyo open county a/t thats S rated for 112mph e range---thats it. .

I wasn't think A/T tire. What radial tires are rated for 120-125 in a 33" for an 18 or 20" rim? That's what I was thinking. I need to do some research tho. no money for truck stuff for a bit. Stupid house.

Well tried the key trick a few times last night and it didn't help. I have to admit the way they defuel is better than the way the V8 dakota limited speed, it felt like you hit something when it cut off.

For thoes of you that are having problems are you HOLDING the key in the START position the whole time like I told you to. You just cant turn it to start and then back to run it needs to be held in the strat position the whole time.
