under fuse 13 (ABS feed) in the 06 fuse panel. Need to lift fuse box up and see the wires under panel. Under the #13 fuse is a green wire. I cut it in half and spliced a switch. Dad got beat by a gas rig yesterday and gave me hell that his 97 12V would do 118 and his 06 would only go 108 and the gas rig passed him doing 110. So i cut the ABS feed when i got near 108 and the speedometer fell to zero and the truck fueled all the way to 3450. Flipped the switch back on and no problems. Dad's happy now.

The double start override is also supposed to work. Just hold the key in the start position and it should go over the max speed. Have not tried it myself but others have said it works.

I tried it a couple different times and it didn't work for me.

I've read over on www.dodgetalk.com that the 1500 HEMI guys have done the key switch trick with success..... never really heard of it on the CTD's yet though. I do recall a thread about pulling the ABS fuses before.

Greg

weekend project.

now I just need to find a switch that looks like the EZ switch and drill a second hole. And crap, need to plumb in another set of wires. I knew I should of pulled though the firewall and that harness of wires a few extra colors. . :)

Any codes get set?

I figure this will work well with a downloader (smarty... . ). But what about Juice? I know the EZ will help in fueling dept, but it's not that much if the juice cuts out at 3200 even in 4th and 5th gears.

I suppose valve springs will need to be had and a downloader...

But I do plan on putting in the switch for future use. :)

Big Dan... ..... does the ABS light on the instrument cluster then stay illuminated until the fuses are again replaced ?

Greg

Yes. The brake light is also lit and no speedo and yeah and no ABS. I thought Im slam on the brakes at 40mph to see what would happen.

Crap!!! The whole truck slid sideways like 90' parallel to the road for a slide. I did it again and same results.

If something bad happens at 127mph(that what my top speed was before I ran out of road according to GPS) kiss your butt goodbye..... OK hold it... . You know what? you probably wont even remember anything... . All I remember from my crash was flashes of memories in the CAT scan tube, pain, random imiges, scary, weird, scary

make sure its safe.

Im not going to cut and make a switch. I'm still crossing my fingers that Marco will be able to do it the right way...

Come awn Marco Oo.

I'll cut a wire and hook up a switch. It's pretty much free... .

Reb, Will it work on my truck?

Thanks!

Lucas

If you have the Smarty just reprogram the tire size to like 23" the speedo still works but just wrong but no codes or mil light

Then do you have to completely reprogram the truck? If so, that takes forever... .

It will only work if you are running one of the smarty programs

and no you do not have to reprogram the hole truck it is on a different menu

takes about 30 sec. it takes longer to hook it up pick the menu.

than to reprogram
