Anyone In My Area What To Get A Buckstop Bumper??

BuckStop Installed

I finally found a weekend in which I could get my BuckStop bumper installed on my truck. As I had mentioned in another post, this product is top quality and worth the very reasonable price--it was actually designed by mechanical engineers. By the strength of the bumper and the mounting system, I can now understand how it can support the 15,000-lb. winch rating. The brackets are designed to maintain forward as well as lateral forces as is often the case in winch applications. As time permits, I will be adding additional pictures to the Reader's Rigs for viewing.

Here's a starter:

Great looking bumper there, sure can't wait to install mine. Already bought the winch (Milemarker 1200lb) and looking for the lights. I think they have the best looking bumper going, not as boxy as the ARB and not as over the top as the TJM. We will we sending in our orders in about a week, so anyone interrested in saving some cash and would like a BUCKSTOP, pm me. You'll be sorry if you don't!

I would add to the order if I could get Dorian to make one for my wife's Durango! :D

One thing that you might consider when you place your order is concerning the access door latch. Don't get me wrong, the Southco hand-operated one included is convenient and of good quality. The problem is that anyone can turn it and remove the whole access door. I've had several people pick it up (expecting a hinge) and nearly drop it on the ground due to its surprising weight. Dorian is ordering me a special "tool-operated" latch, which can only be opened with this special tool. The drawback is that since the "tool-operated" latch is a flush mount, you will now have to reach in through the bumper cutouts to push the door up from below. I think that this is perfectly acceptable and will prevent the door from walking off.

Also, check out the size of one of the Buckstop mounting brackets compared to what was once thought a rather "beefy" Mopar Tow Hook Bracket:
