Considering buying this kit, it looks very nice, but would love to hear if any of you guys have either seen or purchased this particular kit, and/or what your opinions are about it. I see Katzkins has a kit that prices out at $700, so $400 for this item below seems attractive, tho you know what they say: "Ya get what you pay for"

Ebay item # 350019277103... . check it out, would like to hear your thoughts.

My truck currently has the medium gray cloth interior... .

For those of you who have installed these kits yourselves, is it pretty doable for somebody with decent handyman skills, but not a pro? Thanks!

less than 98% feedback, Plus Same or better Products available from CoverKing and other Manufacturers. . I think Geno's may have covers also.

Wow, BeKim, nice lookin' leather! Did you install yourself, and if so/if not, did you have to remove the cloth seats or did the leather do directly over the cloth? Tough install?

Turner, I saw that earlier today. I plan on asking the seller if they can substitute a dark gray insert instead of the light tan... . would match my doors and dash, etc. way better. Can't be that damn hard to install.

BBoling,

I had Katskins leather installed in my 06 SLT when I bought it 15 months ago. It seems to be very high quality. Softer than the factory leather and not as expensive. I wanted leather but didn't want to pay for all that other stuff in the Laramie package. I have 3 boys and they can trash the inside of that truck. It's holding up great.

i have taken my factory cloth covers off to wash them, and its very easy. the only tough cover that i had trouble with was the center console box thing

Well as I stated above I would contact the seller on possibly a dark gray insert, which i think would compliment the rest of the dark gray interior, & they came back with "we can only do the light tan insert, but as an option we could do a complete charcoal dark gray kit". I asked when this could ship, looks like 2-3 weeks. Light gray kit would ship in 10 business days. I am undecided at this point. Hell, $550 for a leather kit or half that for top-of-the-line WetKole (sp?) 2-tone neoprene seat covers. Grrrrrrr... Obviously, leather would be nicer, but that's a lot of dough for something I prolly don't even NEED? Then again, when did NEED ever come into play! :-laf

Thanks! You can see that the console still has the factory cloth covering. I switched it out after taking the picture. I got tired of the static shock I got everytime I got out of the vehicle.
Yes, I installed them. The console part is a little tricky to do without breaking something. Yes, the original premium cloth covers had to be removed. Yes, they come in several color combos including solid colors like charcoal or grey.
Just take your time cutting for the power seat controls and the headrest posts, and you'll be ok. PM me if you have any install questions. I learned alot about how to handle many parts of the install better by doing it. The back and front seats are pretty simple, and the headrests and console are somewhat more challenging.

I have these (item #200198066212 if that link doesn't work) and I couldn't be happier. I got them from a dealer in Florida for $550. 00 who had them made by ALI Leather (who makes OEM leather seats) which is who is selling these. You simply remove the factory cloth and these install the exact same way. Also unlike the OEM leather these are REAL LEATHER not vinyl with a little suede in the middle. My only suggestion is if you think you will want seat heaters get them now. I added mine a few months after I got the leather and remove/install the covers all over again.
