Fender flare clearance

I would like to put fender flares on my truck. My two choices are ATS or Bushwacker extend-a-flare. My truck is leveled with 18" wheels (4. 71" back spacing) and 35" tires. Does anyone have flares on their truck with a similarly set up truck as mine. I only have about 1/2" clearance on the rear of the front fender well. Do these fender flares consume any of that free space that I have so little of?

I have the Bushwacker OE style flares (slightly narrower than the extend-a-fenders) and they only take up about 1/8" or less of space.

I have the ATS flairs and they only consume about 1/8" (the thickness of the plastic itself). They do not curve into the wheel well at all.
