This is quite odd to say the least.
Generally towing 8500# with 1500# additional load
Less than 5000 miles empty
One thing though nearly 95% of my use is spring & fall so possibly heat may be a factor?

I just replaced the Firestones on my truck with Michelin Defenders. OMG, has anybody else bought tires lately? LT285/60r20's installed, $1711!

I don't feel too bad with $1200 to my door! Glad I've got family with a shop to do mounting myself. That way, I know it's done right! Can take my time with how the tire is on rim before adding weight. Tire prices have jumped!

Put a set of 265/70/17 on my old 06 abut 10 months before I sold it and I was not all to happy with them, I also lost fuel mileage a good 1.5 mpg...

Got the new shoes on. WOW, what difference! They're Laufenn X Fit HT all seasons. All 6 and spare were done with max of 3 oz on 1 wheel with most being below 1 oz on both sides! I was surprised with how well they balanced out! So combined with Centramatics, was smooth all the way to 80! Had some snow to deal with after mounting them and they handled very well! Time will tell on how they hold up. The 300 mile return trip on them was nice!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That's a brand I have not heard of before. I hope they treat you well. Looks like a decent HT tread design.

@AH64ID, They're made by Hankook. It's one of their second lines. I picked them up in Oct for $175 ea. Figured they'd be worth a shot to try with a 60K mileage warranty.

I wouldn't trust a Discount Tire review on any tire! Hankook has a bid stake in not wanting to have issues. I'll keep all posted with how well they handle. Sometimes you need to roll the dice and try something outside the box! Willing to try these. Got them from https://simpletire.com/ , based on their reviews and others. Off brands can surprise you. We'll see?

I have never heard of Simple Tire, looked at their web site could not see who would handle tire warranty claim when I travel? At least with a place like Discount/America Tire or Costco I know they have locations all over the US that can take care of me if needed, this is one reason why I don't do business with 3rd party tire companies..

Why kind of tire warranty are you going to have when you travel? Unless you paid for a road hazard policy, I can’t see where a tire would be warrantied except for mileage. I can’t imagine having a mileage warranty claim while you’re traveling.

Back in 1992 I had a set of new Goodyear tires I bought from a Dodge dealership, about 10K later the tires had about 3/32 tread went to Goodyear dealer they wanted nothing to do with the warranty claimed van had front end problem even though they did not check any thing on the van nor did they even put it on front end rack to see it is was out of alinement, I went back to the dealer who looked at the tires, said no it was not a front end problem, they wasted not time putting 2 new tires on it for no charge, they were surprised that the tire shop would not honor Goodyear mileage warranty so for me I am picky about who I get my tires from.... Also in 30 years I have not owned a tire that didn't have road hazard coverage, I never gave it a thought about others who buy tires without it..
