Hey Bill, according to tldirectory.com, there's several campgrounds scattered throughout the area. If you plan to "tent out" at one of them, let me know ahead of time.

I wouldn't mind taking in a show or two at the Springmill and/or Sunset drive-ins whilst down that way either. :cool:

I have the paper work in hand. I'll get this turned in now I'm applying for Sat and Sun just to be safe.

I have already gotten some flack due to construction. I fail to understand how construction at opposite ends of the campus would effect the garage and parking lot next to the garage. :rolleyes:

There may be a fee involved to use the garage... ... ..... I'll find out. The school "rents" out the school buildings but am hoping we can just use the garage for nutt'n.

There are lots of sights to see here in the area. Shawshank Prison/Amish Country (shopping) ... ... ok that's about it :-laf

I'm sure you guys can locate the school an a map right? On Rt 96 West of Ashland and East of Shelby/ North of Mansfield. Just outside (West) a little from cross roads known as Olivesburg. (Rts 545/96/603)

One Warning. The school is paving the parking lot and I don't know when :(

Bad News Guys

I just spoke with the Superintendent about our truck get-to-gether.

He was very polite about it and told me that due to the construction/remodling of the school buildings, the board has suspended *ALL* building/grounds requesitions due to construction.

This is adopted by the board. :{ :{ :{

I don't have any other ideas other than to try for the next season after all this construction is outta the way.

It looks like there is enough interest to hold said event here in Northern Ohio. I hope we can begin to have a mid summer gathering of sorts.

The construction is scheduled to be completed by September of this year. That means they should be done by Nov. or Dec. :)

Alright, who's gonna step up and offer their grounds for a meet and greet? Maybe if we offered our enthusiasm over in the events forum on the GLTDR annual meeting, we'd get something made up. I'd still like to get together at Cozzolino's Motorsports in Indianapolis, IN, for another dyno day like we had last February. They have a dyno jet. They have a big parking lot, where if us 1st genners wanted to do some wrenching, I bet we could.

looking on map quest... i'm getting two different adresses:

Crestview Schools

315 Broad St, Ashland, OH and

crestview high schools

1575 state road route 96, ashland, OH

which one????

someone has to think of something!!!! *crys* i really really wanted to do this!!... i get to get out of crap state for the weekend and get to take her on a nice long road trip. . see how she does. but we do need some place to work on our trucks. who knows if i'll make it (i might need a tow... who knows what else will fall apart around the cummins) so work space would be good... so i can put her back together to get home. anyone out there... with a big garage or large pavment driveway??... or we'll just have to wait till october... . birthday present *smiles*

Too far

It's a little far for me too, coming from Long Island, New York. Any 1st gen events in the northeast coming up?

Other than this, I don't think there is such a thing as 1st Gen only event. We were about to make history. I'm going to cry..... :{

Somebody catch me up on this. Have you all set a date? Looks like the place might be in Ashland, OH. Very interested in coming. Would like to meet some of you all. I really would like to see all of the 1st gens Oo.

Look in the "local and regional chanpters" thread and go to "northeast".

Find "coffee night" ... that's the thread we use for Northeast events... mostly 2nd and 3rd, ..... except for a few of us ;)

No history to be made, as Piers has had a 1st gen day before.

I think tug was refering to *Only* first gens.

I believe I can see other trucks in the PDR "1st Gen Day" pics. PDR has a reputation to uphold, therefor was (probably) a 1st Gen Day in name only. I have no reputation :)
