Well, these old first gens with no electronic system controls are looking better all the time. I have a 2001 Ford gasser company truck that I took in today to have a couple of oil leaks fixed. While in there I figured I'd have the spark plugs changed since it has 80,000 miles on it and still has the original plugs (supposed to last 100K). When the guy in the Ford garage gave me an estimate JUST for the plugs, I told him to forget it. (after I got back up off the floor) He estimated 4 hours and $400 just for that!
I don't have to pay for this since it is a company truck but I'll be damned if I'll pay that for a plug change, my money or not.
Anyone ever hear of a set of plugs and labor costing this much?
The old Dodge just keeps looking better and better. Guess I'll have to keep the old girl and do a little more pampering to keep her happy.
