Well, today I did my very first oil filter and air filter change. First I changed out the air filter. Boy was she dirty. She was changed just over a year ago before I bought the truck. I think I will do the changes now at every 6 months. Noticed a better throttle response with the clean air filter. Funny the reminder did not tell me that the air filter was dirty or clogged up.
The oil change went alright with the following exceptions. First, I did not take off the air filter so I did not have much room. Second I tried the bag over the filter. It worked but I broke open the bag when I lifted out the bag/filter and it ripped. Spilled a little oil. So I spent time cleaning it up. Removed the oil pan bolt with no trouble and installed Geno's EZ change plug. I am hoping the next change will go smoother.
Was going to do a fuel filter change but it looked spooking so I by passed it for now. I am going to have a friend help me out with that one in a couple of weeks. I have read all the stuff I can get my hands on but it is still spooks me.
