I took my 2015 in today to get the uconnect update completed, as I tried several times on my own and could not get it to complete. Always failed at step 9 sierra air card. Also was getting a strange clicking noise coming from the rear end I suspected brakes, as noise was only present under certain conditions when applying the brakes. Called dealer before they closed because they had not called. Turns out radio is shot they have to order a new one, no biggie had been dealing with that not working for a few weeks. When the uconnect update fails it will shut the radio down:{, they left that part out of the instructions they sent with it. Turns out the strange noise I was hearing was from the rear axle. Was told be service writer that the axel run out was not in spec, tech found something not torqued correctly and had ordered new wheel bearings and hubs:eek:. She couldn't tell me when parts where going to be in, figured about a week. Also said tech found evidence of water in the gear lube:--). The truck only has 3700 miles on it. I had 1100 miles it before I towed anything, after that I towed at 50 mph for 500 miles. I have about 2600 miles towing on it. 16k horse trailer. The water was in there from the factory, I've never even had the plug out of this one, nor have I even driven the truck down a muddy road yet, let alone swamped it. Will post more info as I get it.

The rear axle issues are not common but there has been a few cases. The electrical dysfunctions seem to be the more common issue's of the two. Hoping they get these electric bugs figured out soon.

The axles on the new trucks all have a milky color the first time they are drained. The gear marking material they use when setting up the axle is white in color and tints the fluid. I suspect your dealer may not be the sharpest tool. If they have any fluid left they can send it out and sample it for water, but they will not find any.
