New Dodge Ctd Owner

Wish Me Luck. Picking Up New Truck Driving A Thousand Miles Home.

:D What can one really say that would adequately sum up the experience? Frankly, I am at a loss for words. I picked it Friday afternoon and due to work was unable to really get out drive, so it sat in the garage until Sunday morning. I took a short drive to get use to driving a dually again and to see what this new truck would do. 188 miles later I was still justa grinning. The torque comes in so early and you never lose it with the hp just building. I can't wait to get a trailer behind it. I have a trip planned to Utah in July, boy I wish it was July. I might have to find somewhere to go before then. My only regret is that waited this long to get CTD. I have a friend with a Ford 6. 0 PS and he is going to be mighty upset when I blow by him grinning. THIS TRUCK IS AWESOME. What is it going to be like when the Cummins gets to 15k-20k miles, I can't wait. :D

Nice lookin truck!!! Do you plan on making some of the get togethers ?? Hopefully going to be setting up another time to dyno!!

You're more than welcome, and hell i'm sure we'll even find a spot for your buddies 6. ohno (more than likely behind all the smoke ;) )

I will certainly try to make the get togethers as much as possible. I have to get a fifth wheel/gooseneck hitch in it next because the truck is going out to Nevada to spend some time. I have a good friend there and we will be making some trips from his place. Once I get out there, it be there until August. :(

I get to make visits but it not the same. The west has some great roads and sites but more importantly it will be a good break in of the engine.

As a side note my buddy with the 6. 0 is now looking at a MTD because he hates being out done. Of course, I do my best to remind him. :p

You're not staying with the truck ???

Also congrats on your truck, and welcome to TDR!

Hope you can make some of the get togethers, fun time, indeed.

Unfortuately, the truck will stay and I will visit. Work keeps getting in the way. With the trips we have planned there is not enough time in my schedule to drive out there every time and I am lucky that I have a place to store it out there. It is not ideal but it does allow me to make the trips that I want to.

I will certainly try to make the get togethers with or without the truck.

Thanks

More than welcome Tim

good luck with your trips, and your truck sitting ALONE (hard thing to do to a cummins :( )

The truck won't be alone just without me. My buddy out there is planning on keeping the fluids flowing. He owns a Freightliner MDT to pull with but can't go certain places when pulling his gooseneck with Jeep so that is where my truck comes in. His wife won't drive the MDT but she will drive a dually so again, my truck. Sometimes I think that I might be too nice but I trust them with anything that I own. The flip side is that I have keys to their house and all the toys so maybe I winning here. It will be taken care the same way that i would care for it. Now if I could figure out how to have one in Nevada and one here, my problem would be solved.

You could always buy my 96. Its a beater compared to your brand new truck. I have a great truck, just need 4x4 so i can go to silver lake sand dunes and cruise around!!!

Glad you can trust someone like that.

I count myself very lucky to have them as friends.

My wife would probably divorce me if I purchased another truck. See signature for my three plus a SUV. The wife has two trucks plus a car.

I hate paying for the 4x4 but have never regretted getting it.
