5th Wheel camper questions

Been told that it would be hazardous to carry my 350# motorcycle on the rear of the fiver because the added weight creates towing uncertainty due to changes in the trailer's dynamics.
Any thoughts?
Thanks

I have a friend with a fifth wheel that has a platform welded to his frame on the rear. He has a hinged ramp to load his motorcycle and tells me he tows with no problems. His motorcycle is a Harley and must weigh over 800#. If you don't overload your trailer axles and balance your load, I think you could carry 350# without too many problems. You would have to weigh the trailer and each axle when loaded to make sure you were OK.

There is one '97 ATK 605 Dual Sport and one '84 XR350. Not sure what the XR weighs but the ATK weighs a tick under 300lbs. With the XR that's got to be 575lbs total... This rack has over a thousand miles on it on this trailer. No probs. Just watch your tire pressures (make sure they're not under-inflated) and ensure you're not exceeding the trailer's (or tire's for that matter) GVW and your ready to roll! Watch your hitch weight as well. Try to load heavy up front. It takes a big trailer to get away with it though...

A company called Overbilt in New York will attach a lift to the back of your 5'er for around $2500. I have an appointment for mid July to have one installed for my 850 lb. Harley Road King. Although the power lift is designed for an RV, he has installed them on around 20 5'ers with no problems. I just purchased a 34' Mountain Aire and am looking forward to retirement with the trailer, my wife and the Harley.
