Good day,
I'm Ron in Fort Lauderdale, Fl and I have a 1997 Dodge 2500 w/Cummins 12v/Auto.
I bought it brand new in 11/97 and has served me well in those 20 years and continues to do so
today with 225,000 miles. I do plan on getting a new SUV soon but I hate to get rid of the
old Dodge. So, I'd like to do a medium to mild restoration.
From the Banks Power Pack to something that would give me 600-800 HP with an automatic that can
handle the torque, a new complete brake system that can bring a 6800lb truck to a safe stop, a good
handling suspension and steering set up, nice wheels and a good stance(no low-profile crap, it’s a
pickup truck). The interior needs a lot of work (nothing fancy). The body is not that bad, front left
fender has a creased dent and that’s pretty much it, no rust, keep the same color and black out
all the chrome. Mechanical first, interior then body/paint.
I'm looking for a good no nonsense no bull**** shop with competent employees that know what the
f... they’re doing. No head scratchin, butt scratchin, nose pickin and no dumb ***** trying to
figure out how to do something that they should know how to do. I want it done right the first time!
Is there such a place? Keep in mind that the shop does not need to be in Florida.
Thanks,
Ron

Hey Ron! Check out THE DIESEL SHOP Miami. They are not too far and I had a great experience. The owner knows Dodge Cummins and he is a Suncoast sponsored diesel racer.

Also, I had a good friend get his Dodge completely set up at CALIFORNIA CUSTOMS shop off Ravenswood Rd near Bass Pro. He had a great experience there as well. I think they might be a bit nearer to you and more of a one-stop-shop.

Either of guys won’t steer you wrong.
