ok....sounds good but....

what about the seat belts???... ... ... are they going to make them with the seat belts going thru them???

Bmoeller, I asked about rear access, Bill Wickert says the seat folds forward like the stock seat. I'll double check that. tntway, I don't know about the seat belts. I'll get back to you.

Just got off the phone with Bill Wickert. He said the seat back reclines forward and backward. As far as the seat belts are concerned if they are integrated into the seat you are out of luck. I don't know how the 98 and up trucks have their seat belts set up.

97 and older should have no problem. Quad cab and 98 and above look like they will have the seat belt issue.

Thanks. :)

Great, now you've come up with something else my OTR PU should have. Well, since bombing, and putting in an air ride seat, may as well stop by my Porsche Speed Shop and pick up a 5 point harness. Wonder if my Nomex still fits. Will the little compressor for my helper air bags work for the air ride seat also?

Cheers,

The compressor kit is rated at 105-140 psi. The seat needs a MINIMUM of 80-85psi. Sounds like a strong enought unit for other stuff.

Dredged this one up from the way-back machine. Has anyone given the air ride seat a go? Anyone still interested? Or should I toss it back?

Quad cab and 98 and above look like they will have the seat belt issue. Are they thinking about integrating seat belts into the seats any time some?

I know a member here in AK that got some seats and engineered a seatbelt setup into the roof of his truck. It can be done if you are willing to do the extra work.

PM Brobertson for more info. I think he is out of town right now so if you PM and he does not get back to you right away don't be suprised.

They were supposed to be shipping them a week ago. Bad news is they will only be available for the 3rd Gens, maybe later for the 2nd Gens.
