Time for another oil change on my 99 along with finally installing my Edge Juice this week. (Nice to finally have a week home and not out on the road racing for the first time in over 2 months) And I'm wanting to use the Fleetguard filter on the oil change this time and seen that there are two different filters for my truck. Is the stratapore filter worth the extra money over the standard fleetguard filter? Thanks for any help.

If it cost's more, it has to be better right?? I run the stratapore on mine but I ran the regular one for 60k. I'm sure either one will do you a good job.

I've always used the LF3894, Stratapore. Don't know what the scientific difference in the filter media is but I only pay ~$10/ea. for a filter to protect a $12K motor. I don't even consider looking to pay anything less for a different filter.

According to Diesel power or Carson Dodge Lit, what I read - Go with the Stratapore. You & your motor will be happier. Geno's = good prices.
