My 2007 with 470000 miles had a cracked radiator so I replaced it last week. While I had the radiator out I put a Fluidamper on it. I figured the hype was probably just that, but it has noticeably quieted the vibrations of the South Bend dual clutch and G56 transmission. Has anybody else had that experience?

I would like to get out to see Standard Transmission to go through my G56 transmission to make sure I can get another 470000 miles out of it. Unless somebody knows of a really good transmission shop somewhere in North Carolina.

I ran 3 different harmonic balancers on my 05 and the fluidamper was by far the best. It’s not hype, the dang thing works as advertised.

I have one on the '96, was a neat unit, I did not own it long enough to know the difference but it runs good with it.

I installed a Fluidampr about 180,000 miles ago. The most noticeable improvement was at low engine rpm under load. The harsh growly sound was almost gone.

I think those with manual transmissions may notice the benefits most.

I ran one for a bit. Got tired of the "family of crickets" noise. No benefit that I could see or feel---just that bleeping noise. It's over in my junk pile somewhere.

Very first mod I did on the truck. Made the engine smoother and quieter. There is a reason all 6.7L engines come with them. After I did mine, my buddy with a '04 dually also a manual like mine, bought one. He had a number of years owning his, bought new, and he went to leave my house, and commented that it seemed smoother. He stopped on the way home to eat lunch and called me, said it was definitely smoother and quieter.

While the 6.7 damper is viscous it’s not the same as a fluidamper. I ran both a 6.7 damper and a fluidamper on my 05. Both were much better than the OEM one, but the fluidamper was better than the Cummins one.

What do you think about the ATI SuperDamper?
