Before I head to the dealer, I am curious if any of you have had this issue. My truck in my signature has not had the heat run all summer, but with the cold showing up and the heat getting turned on, it’s developed a situation where the drivers side foot heat won’t blow hot. Passenger foot heat and face/defrost works great, and from what I can tell, the driver face and defrost heat works fine too. It’s just drivers foot heat. It will only get slightly warm, even when the passenger side is burning hot.
I haven’t torn into the dash on one of these trucks so I don’t quite know where to start. Checked the basics like coolant level and vent blower operation and everything seems normal. The fact that I’m getting airflow on the drivers feet makes me think it isn’t a blower door issue or something. Because my truck has separate driver/passenger temp controls, I assume it has something to do with that system but am not sure what.
Any suggestions?
