I just had a 2. 5" Skyjacker system installed in my truck. The front came out good, about 2 3/4" of lift, but I don't like the back with the add-a-leaf. It only lifted it about 1/2". It looks like the truck is dragging @ss. I would like to have about 2" of lift in the back to maintain the stock rake of the truck. So, my question is, how much did the 4. 5" system raise the back of the truck? And which method was used, 4. 5" add-a-leaf or 4. 5" replacement springs? Thanks

I'm not quite sure how much the back went up, but it's just a wee bit lower than the front, for all intents and purposes it's level. If I had to do it again, I would not, I would just get the leveling kit and be done. I wanted 35" BFG AT's and the tire dealer said I needed 4. 5" of lift, come to find out that a leveling kit would have sufficed.

Same as Devildog. If the truck is on level ground, it's level. But if I am on a slight decline, it looks like it's dragging it's ass. I love the height of it, but if I were to do it all over I too would have just levelled the truck. Oh, I used the add a leaf.

777- not that I noticed. Although I recently replaced all of the shocks with Bilstein 5100 series and it rides alot better now.

I just installed the Skyjacker 4. 5" kit last weekend, and it came with the rear add-a-leaf. My truck sits about an 1-1/2" low in the rear, but I also have a flatbed that weighs about 400lbs more than a pickup box. The coils are nice and soft, but the rear spring pack is a little rough. I also have the Skyjacker Nitro shocks if that makes a difference.

skyjacker

Put a skyjacker 4. 5" in about 1 month ago and ordered it with full leaf kit for the rear. had longer U bolts made so I could still use my helper springs. ( I have a Reading steel cap w/tools that weighs total 2000#) The kit fully installed the @$$ was down almost 3" lower than the front. Had to go to a local spring shop and have the skyjacker springs re-arched w/ 2 more leafs slipped in to get it level:mad:  Now it looks like it may have settled about 1" and I may have to put 1 more leaf in it:( Oh well thats the price you have to pay to play. the pos note on this is my payload cap. took a nice jump into the 3500 series class or poss even more.
