Yeah, 29mph seems low to me, and I don't idle my rig, & do little city driving. I did buy the truck last year w/70,000mi on it, so maybe the previous owner had different habits... But to have 81,000 in about 3 yrs, one would think that it would have to be mainly hwy driving to rack up that many miles so quickly.
will the quick check work with my 12v? i have a palm V and am wondering if owning quick check will make my life easier or is it just a toy? thanks. scott.
I have looked on the Dura-crack web site and they have had the same concers as you do. The have low average miles per hour of engine time. The are in the 25 to 40 miles per average as well. Its too bad that DC does not give us a standard hour gauge like the General does. If this is the case we are going up to 250 hours per oil change!!!
I like the Quick Check II. The boost readout is in PSIG tho, so you have to subtract 14. 7psi. from the actual reading on the Quick Check II to get proper boost pressure. This is what the service man said at Cummins shop in Md. I was until he told me this is how the sensor is set up on the newer ISB Encore engine platform. I had it hooked up just last week while taking a 60 mile trip and it works great .
Contact a Cummins distributor for pricing. You can buy the Palm with it or without, your choice. I bought mine at an open house at Cummins Power Systems in Glen Burnie Md. about two months ago, they had a special deal. Also check out Cummins website for detailed info. on the Quick Check II.
