I particularly liked the comment: "I just wouldn't buy the 1970 technology 5. 9L Cummins, no matter where it was made. "

Amazing.....

I carry a fullsize towstrap underneath my front seat. It's for quick access to pull the Ford Diesel's out of traffic. I just can't figure out which one of those guys I've already towed :D

They haven't figured it out yet that it takes them 8 cyl to do half what our 70' technology 6cyl does! Then again they bought into the ford hype. :-laf

I couldn't resist, I had to post over there. I hope they don't lock the thread like they normally do. I kept it civil, because we all know how "sensitive" those Ford guys are. :D

Mike

They sure come up with some crazy ideas! I wonder what happened to making informed opinions, instead of just posting what sounds good.

A couple of thoughts... ... . where did they come up with Cummins being German owned? and If are motors are so inferior why does ford put them into their bigger trucks :--) , Do they put the 6. 0 into the f600-f700?

Do they put the 6.0 in the F-650 or F-750??

Yes, actually I think they do :confused: , not sure why, but I think it is the standard entry level power unit :{

I just checked Fords web site. The f650 and f750 come with the cummins 185hp isb or a cat no power strokes interesting????? the f550 still shows the 7. 3td    no 6. 0 liter :D

Have you ever wondered why people post stuff, like on the dieselstop, when they dont even know if what they are posting is true or not? I guess its all ignorance...

IGNORANCE? im not sure if that the right word or just plain ill gotten and stupid... . Now we all know that dodge does make and sell trucks in Mexico, ie: Truck, we know that but obviously the misinformed(the gulable) believe that Cummins engines are made in Mexico. Maybe someone that posts over there could post a link to the cummins website, as we all know Cummins is in many different markets around the globe WAAAAAAAAAAYYYY more than ford and who is it that makes the 6. 0? is it still international? < legit question as they jump back and forth between deals, no wonder there having engine problems...

I wonder how many of those guys over there have some mexican parts and jap parts under there hoods and don't even know it...

and another thing is that George C. that post over there part mule or just a dumb*****, i think he is giving the rest of them the stupid diesease..... but this is just my opinion on one over sized ego..... I guess you could also ask them over there how come most Cummins owners that have good trucks don't trade in every 12 months like most Ford owners do, i know around here pple trade there fords in on a new one like they were changing diapers on a baby...

I posted too (UApilot).

****Funny, our "1970's technology" Cummins are lasting a lot longer than these NEW 6. 0s.

And wow, Navistar is offering a factory twin turbo diesel. With all the 6. 0s that have turbo failure I wonder if that # will double with the new PSD? Let's see, 6. 0 single-turbo failures = x

Twin turbo PSD must be failures=2x

Ford should just start putting in brushless electric motors. They won't leak oil, won't get fuel in oil, won't ruin turbos. Of course Ford engineers would stick something of theirs on it and break it.

And George, JetPilot's truck that was on Ebay, that truck would run circles and out tow ANY PSD V8. Yes, George, EVEN YOURS!

I have never seen a twin-ed PSD on Ebay. Maybe that's due to other reasons besides them not being easy or worthwhile to twin turbocharge.

And George, your truck may not be giving you any problems, but remember, it's one of few.

Ford could sell the Cummins in their trucks, to Cummins specs, and STILL find a way to **** it up like they did the 6. 0.

By the way, how many Cummins owners are their 2nd or 3rd buybacks?****

I know I don't have to defend JetPilot (the truck that was on sale on Ebay that Georgy Porgy mentioned), but I did anyway.

If MichaelWright didn't get it locked I probably did!

That is so true. And yes he is part mule, I saw his stumpy legs and huge ears! :-laf

He thinks his problem-free 6. 0 is the best. I bet he would be changing his mind if it was giving him problems. Of course, his 6. OH may be at the dealer right now getting a reflash or a new set of injectors, but he would never admit it, his ego won't allow that. Of course, it may really be problem free, but with these engines, lemons are the most common, and the good running, problem free trucks are the rare ones.

I don't care if he hates Dodges as trucks, and that the Cummins engine may not be for him, but he is wrong when he says the Cummins is worse than the PSD. For him maybe...

And yes he trades in on trucks every couple years I think.

Nah, it's still workin. George C is a constant nuisance but i've gotten used to just skipping over anything he posts. That comment comparing Jerry Springer fans with sled pulling folk really irks me though.

WELL, I guess my days are numbered over there - here was MY reply:

"I just wouldn't buy the 1970 technology 5. 9L Cummins, no matter where it was made. "

HMMMmmm - pretty strange that ya hafta buy a *650* class Ford to get that SAME "Cummins 70's technology" you get in a 250 class Dodge - guess Ford wants to save that old-fashioned technology for when they need to get REAL work done...

As to the Mexican-built bit - yeah, Cummins and Dodges ARE built there - JUST down the road from the *FORD* plant!

Some of you guys REALLY need to get your facts and logic straight before ya start playing with those PC keyboards!

I thought so, he sounded like one of those holier than now ford owners which like you said if he was having problems he would rather hold his breath til he fell over than to admit it.

But my money is on that LMAO so called '70 technology, well if thats what they wanna thing then so be it, but if its true then why has Ford changed so many times with there engines and well of course we know Cummins is still " SIX IN A ROW" And obviously *very bulletproof*. I have not heard of a Cummins engine puking diesel into any crankcase.

Sounds like you hit them in the old bread basket with that Gary, yeah we all know that both fords, dodges are built over the border, but for some reason they can't come to terms that there beloved, over priced blue oval is also. Now as for the Cummins engine it very well be built (some that is) in Mexico, but when it has Cummins stamp on it do you think there really going to just let anybody build those for them, those guys on the diesel stop need to stop hitting the pot patch and let the fog clear over there so they can see in front of there faces clearly... I mean this is just my opinion wouldn't won't to flame a ford owner. LOL... .

hey Gary thanks for putting my f650-f750 argument on their board. :) I was hoping someone would. I'm just amazed at the arguments that people come up with to defend their uniformed ideas. If the 6. 0 litter is so great why do they still run the 7. 3td and V10 gasser as standard euipment in the F550    Do not stare directly at the BLUE OVAL kids it will destroy your brain :D
