Ford F-450 Surprise

Installed air bags on an 06 6. 0 F-450 today and guess what was stamped on the rear leaf spring hanger ? MADE IN CHINA !! I sure hope Mopar aint using any Chineese parts .

plus I heard cummins is marketing Cummins engines to China also may built a plant there. I have to dig the article up. I saw it in a recent Diesel Progress magazine.

I read that in a trucking mag also. I believe it is a partnership with a Chinese manufacture to build under license from Cummins.

I hate to bring you all bad news but in the April Issue Of HENNINGS MUSCLE MACHINES magazine Page 8, there is an article about Dubai, a part of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) is now become Damiler Chrysler's third largest shareholder, buying $1 Billon in stock. It also says that DC may set a manufacturing facility somewhere within the UAE. DC is not speculateing which products would be built there. So you never know where your next car or truck could be built at.

guys, DC will not build our trucks over seas... think about the shipping bill to the US! Most foreign made vehicles are manufactured here anyway... like your toyotas, hondas, acuras, mazdas, and on and on are built in in north america. it would cost so much money to ship from over seas it wouldnt make sense. the only reason I could see DC building a plant in the UAE would be to produce and sell them in the middle east and surrounding areas... not to ship them here.



Until the someone finally hands these idiots at the autoworkers union a dose of reality, all our stuff is going to go out of the US. IMHO, the unions will kill this country before we know it if someone doesnt lay the smack down on these greedy idiots!

It is hard NOT to find something made in China. I looked at the tool section of Walmart and almost everything was made in China. Stanley tools, Crescent, B&D, etc. At least Nicholson files are still made in the USA. I used files made in China and other countries before. Only good files I found were made in Germany, Japan and the USA. Hopefully Chinese products will get to the quality of Germany and Japan. Remember, just after WWII and for a decade or so after, a lot of products from those 2 countries were junk.

What's up with the "slant look" BS?



Maybe the feelings are not that favorable about products and services coming from China (or any other foreign country)... ... but to throw out a racial slurr like that is COMPLETLY uncalled for.
