How hard to get a part time business going?

Cat Vs. Ceiling Fan

I was cruising over on TDS, seems more and more 6. 0 owners are lifting their Fords. Guess since they can't make power like Cummins they just make em taller.

Ford 6. 0, "Can't make Cummins Power, so I will make it tower!" Typical ghetto trucks with huge wheels and lift and a sewing machine engine.

Anyway, this post is also about badges. Cummins makes Cummins badges for our Cummins powered trucks. There are no 6. 0 badges, except the factory "Chrome badges o' death". I have noticed lately, that since they can't brag about their 6. 0 or Navistar engines, they put PETERBILT badges on them. Yeah, cause a 6 liter V8 is JUST LIKE a Peterbilt with an I-6!

Ok, that was my rant for the night!

Edit: I'm not done yet. What's with the cheesy looking Harley Davidson editions. Man, not only would I not own a Hardley, but not ever drive or own a Hardley edition of anything, especially a 6. oh!

"Fords and Harleys, everyone and their dog has one, doesn't mean they are the best"

(No offense to Hardley riders)

I spent some time at TDS, and most of those guys poked fun at Dodge owners for thinking they drove "little Peterbilts". I never understood that, because I see more tricked out Fords than I do anything else. I'm guessing they think that is some sort of an insult??? :-laf

Is it just me, or do you folks notice this? Most of the people I meet who own a

diesel but who are not really "into" diesels have Fords. Always look around when

we go camping and it is about 95 percent Ford, a Dodge or two and maybe a

lonely Duramax now and then. I have said this jokeingly in another post, but

really I think it is about looks with them. They all have the (nice) aluminum

wheels and usually fancy paint. To each their own, just an observation.

It's not just Ford guys turning their trucks into "Ghetto Wagons"

Hey Nick (AKA: UA Pilot on TDS)

it wasn't that many years ago that you were singing the praises of your previous truck over on TDS, remember the good old days???

Now Jake, I'm not going to argue Scott has some bling on that truck but would you not also agree it is capable of walking the walk? I do have to wonder about the 24 valve audio clip on his site though... . BBD is a 12 valve

Woo Hoo, He found one.

I could post more, but what is the point?????????

Dodge guys have fun with their trucks, Ford guys have fun with their trucks, when the Maxi-pad folks get the front end of the 4wd set up figured out, they might have a chance as well.

Yeah, I sung praises about my old Ford, but never claimed it to be a mini Peterbilt. I sung praises about other Fords before I saw the light!

I would still take a 6. 9, MAYBE a 7. 3, over a 6. 0. Notice I said take, not buy!

And yes, Scott can be made fun of, just as anyone else and their truck, but when it comes to put up or shut up, Scott can and will put up, as well as DOZENS of other Cummins! There are only a few Fords that can do the same.

I still sing praises about Fords, but only the Cummins powered ones.

I have even heard a few Ford owners say this, and they, as well as you, are correct. Ford/PSDs are for Truck Enthusiasts, Dodge/Cummins are for Diesel Engine Enthusiasts.

Psycostroker does make some good power. It has it's share of bling too. We should also remember it is not a daily driven truck... . much less a Peterbuilt.

-Scott

I don't know if BBD's is daily driven or not..... but could you immagine being a little Ricer sitting at a stop light..... and BBD comes up behind you? You stand on it... . and he's still right on your Fart Can!?!!?!!?? Same with Psycostroker..... Either one would, should and could scare ricers.

Don't forget, gents... Ford OWNS Cummins. :-laf

You are missing the entire point on the reason for these trucks being built completely. They have been assembled with the Harley owners in mind as we all know since they need the 40k option to make sure their Harley returns home safely or can get towed to a show with. Think about it,Harley Undies,Harley Clothing,Harley Accessories,Harley Oil,Harley Beer, etc etc etc,why not a Harley truck for them to haul their stuff around since they know riding them a long way is hazardous and they may need help getting home. LOL. With the York Assembly plant a stones throw away from me I can tell you how many of those things also haul their workers to work each shift. I dont mind though as it makes it a "target rich" environment for cleaning out ones Cummins exhaust pipe.

On the lift it deal. .

Thats nothing more than a modified view of an old street racers theme. You remember it-"If it doesn't go fast,Chrome it and make it loud". The newest version designed to fit the Phord crowd is this... "If it doesn't make any power, then LIFT it and add plenty of chrome to keep thier minds off it having no power". There are a few select Phords making power but most are like "Urban Legends'',you hear of them making more than 500hp but never see them in person or strapped to a jet or sled. PsychoStroker,Dockboy and Johnboy are a few who defy that logic and show what they can do but for most of the rest, its lift and shine ... ... ... . Andy
